I recently update the nivo slider jquery plugin ,

I do not have particular issues with the upgrade apart from a strange behavior :

the semi transparent black box that you see over the sliding images (basically a news excerpt) disappear,

so you see just the text.

any idea about this ?

The part of style.css responsible for the background image:

See the image is in the images/slider folder.
If you don't rewrite anything in the style.css or slider.sc file - the image appears.
Would be better if I can see the problem, give me a link.

I have checked this part of css and the file looks ok , infact this happen just after the update of jquery plugin.

I have downloaded nivo slider from the official website , then i just upload the js file in the /js directory into the theme.

In the css i see that the p is present and also the line relative to the image
File .

If not solved i will switch back to the old nivo version.

I tried the new slider release but don't work for me. I suggest you rewite with original from theme.
